Today marks an international day of action in the name of gender equity, and one year since Project 1324 launched the #withMalala challenge in collaboration with the Malala Fund and Participant Media.
Together, we invited young people around the world to use their creativity to drive change around this critical issue. We received over 500 submissions. From short films to illustrations, the #withMalala submissions are a testament to every girl’s right to an education.
Thank you to everyone who has submitted to the #withMalala challenge!
While the challenge closes for submissions today, the gallery remains open. Celebrate International Day of the Girl by exploring the gallery and sharing your favorite work using #DayOfTheGirl. Take a look at these featured pieces:
“Meter x Meter: A Collaborative Project” by Hiba Nabulsii (Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan)
“Think, Create, Dream” by Anna Clark (United States)
“La educación revela la verdad” by Julian Martinez (Honduras)
“Malala” by 霈書 朱 (Thailand)
“Beyond the Fabric” by Shubhreet Singh (United Kingdom)
We opened and closed this challenge for submissions in conjunction with the United Nation’s International Day of the Girl. The gallery remains live for your sharing pleasure. You can continue to vote, like and share projects from the #withMalala gallery. Follow @Project1324 for all updates.
